People:me, fishface and John bunn

Duration:4-30pm-9-30pm

Tide:falling

Weather:ok to start, miserable later with gale force wind and sleety rain.

Bait:lug,mack squid

Rigs:flappers

Results:Bass, whiting, coalie

Report:I tried a mark in brittas bay for Bass  , and was successful getting 4 Bass, but all were schoolies, largest around 20 cms. I also got 4 whiting. John Bunn got 4 Bass also, including a double and a few whiting. . All were caught on lug tipped with squid. Fishface got a double of whiting . He also got a nice coalie of 37cms at distance on a wishbone rig. . Started to rain heavily and the wind strenghtened which made things messy and difficult with sand getting everywhere  . Highlight of the night was fishface modelling his new imax 2 piece floatie suit which is the business. I tried it on and must say it was very warm and comfy with lots of room to move about. My own jacket let the rain in later on with my back and arms getting damp ,,, but my fingers were toasty with my new neoprene gloves      . . The two boys left about a half hour before me ,then i got another Bass which was what kept me there longer but i left as i could hardly hold the rod in the air with the wind  . All in all not a bad night with a few fish being caught, which although small, at least they show that things might be looking up for the future, though i did hear that trawlers are coming very close to shore near wicklow :? :? . Some bait leftover gives me an excuse to get out, so who knows where i'll end up tomorrow night depending on the weather   .

details attached.

Rigs:single 3/0's

Results:1 measley 3 bearded rockling

Report:Decided to put the leg through a test after last weeks fall.Hit my fav beach to be greeted with a cracking surf, high hopes of success but after a few fruitless hrs and the tripod blowing over 3 times   ,i had enough as i was putting my first rod away saw a knock on the rod still in water,a rockling yipee no blank.
Not much else to report just overall dissapointment given the surf.It did get really wild after 7 so i was glad to get home and have a nice cuppa and the leg passed its fitness test :D :D .Now for tommorow loads of lug to drown, bring it on.
